Current Status on Connie

Hi everyone, this is Connie's friend Lorene. At 8:45 am, Connie was at the Huntsman Center for surgery. They decided to first put in a "guide wire" to locate the mass that they needed to remove in her breast during the surgery. She went to the U of U hospital where she underwent the guide wire surgery, it last approximately 1.5 hours. She then went back to the Huntsman Cancer Center where they got her good and drugged up on Valium and then at a little before noon she underwent the actual surgery. The doctot is approximating the surgery length of 2 to 6 hours and so I will be going up there to be with her when she wakes up. As of right now, she is doing wonderful and has her family waiting patiently for her in the waiting room. I will post again later tonight or tomorrow morning.....send her your energy because she will need it.
